About Westbourne International Community
How WIC Started
W.I.C. was started in December 2002 to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and since then it has introduced the Gospel (which means "good news") to many internationals, especially students. It is a mission programme of West Cliff Baptist Church and meets in the church building on Poole Road, Westbourne. The leaders of West Cliff Baptist and the co-workers in W.I.C. are united in their wish to be faithful in continuing this task of making internationals in WIC followers of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).
We long to glorify God by preaching the Good News and teaching people about the Bible, through the power of the Holy Spirit and by the will of God (Matthew 4:23).

Our worship group is made up of international students from many parts of the world. All students are encouraged to take part in the music group on a voluntary basis - you don't have to be a great singer or the best musician in the world!
Over the years WIC has existed, we have had two girl drummers, one from Japan and one from Korea. Music leaders from Korea, Germany and Hungary, to name a few. There have also been many students with musical abilities such as drums, guitar, piano, keyboards, and singing that have been involved in our music group from many other countries.
